Aalto Talks — Identity
Brand identity
Aalto Talks is an initiative that presents an international programme of talks, tours and events, unveiling the lives, stories and inspirations of Aino, Alvar and Elissa Aalto.
The identity centres around a classic logotype inspired by - and in reference to - the thinking behind Alvar and Aino Aalto, Maire Gullichsen, and Nils-Gustav Hahl and their founding of Artek. The name Artek is a synthesis of "art" and ‘technology’ – concepts central to the international modernist movement that came to prominence in the 1920s. The logotype adapts to various forms and scales, resulting in an equal balance, or unity, between the three Aaltos’ and the programme of Aalto Talks
